About Dr. Vimal Someshwar
Dr. Someshwar is HOD, Department of Radiology and Interventional Radiology. He has performed more than 6000 Interventional procedures in KDAH. Dr. Vimal is a pioneer in the field of Interventional Radiology. Over the last 30 years, he has been associated with all the well-known Hospitals in Mumbai. He has performed interventions in major cities in India and abroad. He has conducted training courses and workshops in India and various countries.
Dr. Someshwar is the founder member and Ex-President of the Indian Society of Vascular and Interventional Radiology (ISVIR). He is also a member of CIRSE (Europe) and APSCVIR.
He is the primary Investigators to study the Bioresorbable stents for Tibial and Iliac arteries. He has been the pioneer in introducing interventional procedures like Carotid Stenting, Aortic stent-grafts, TARE and venous intervention. He is invited as a speaker in various states, national and interventional conferences. He has trained more than 30 Interventional Radiologists. He has students practicing in various countries.
