About Dr. Sharmila Ranade
Dr. Sharmila has been associated with KDAH for the last 11 years. She has worked as coordinator of the Department of Anesthesia for 6 years and was actively involved in setting up the department at KDAH. She has provided Anesthesia care for more than 270 Liver transplant surgeries, 700 robotic surgeries and over 1500 spine surgeries.
She was associated as chief anesthetist with breakthrough procedures like Quintuplets Delivery, high-risk obstetric surgeries, complicated paediatric scoliosis surgeries. She was also the chief anesthetist during successful breakthrough surgeries like CABG with Liver transplantation, simultaneous Bariatric surgery with liver transplantation, more than 25 Paediatric liver transplantations. Important team member during the simultaneous liver and kidney transplantation.
Dr. Sharmila worked as Senior Consultant Anesthetiologist at Wockhardt Hospital-Mumbai, for 6 yrs. She has work experience for 2 years at P D, Hinduja Hospital, Mumbai. She was also Lecturer in anaesthesiology at KEM Hospital-Mumbai for 4 years.
