Dr. Teny Kurian completed MS ophthalmology from govt Medical College Trivandrum in 2013. Following this, did Senior Residency in Schell eye hospital, CMC Vellore where was trained in medical Retina. Then proceeded to do a two year fellowship in vitreo retinal surgery and Uvea from Aravind Eye Hospital and continued there as a consultant vitreo retinal surgeon for another year and a half. Joined Agarwal eye hospital Vellore in 2019. Have expertise in all areas of vitreo retinal surgery and this includes vitrectomy for diabetic retinopathy of all complicated stages, retinal detachment surgery, macular hole and complicated cataract surgery. Use cutting edge laser techniques to perform eye treatment especially for complications related to diabetes. Also proficient in the screening and management of Retinopathy of Prematurity. Till date have performed close to 500 retina surgeries with excellent outcomes.
