About Dr. Dr. Archana Juneja
After graduating from K.E.M Hospital, Mumbai, Dr. Juneja completed her post graduation in Internal Medicine from Nair Hospital, Mumbai. She then moved back to K.E.M Hospital for her DM in Endocrinology. She is also a Diplomate of the National Board in Endocrinology and has a Fellowship in Advanced Endocrinology from Princess Alexandra Hospital, Australia.
Before joining Kokilaben Ambani Hospital, Dr Juneja worked for 6 years as the Clinical Head and Coordinator of the Department of Endocrinology and Metabolism at Wockhardt (Fortis) Hospitals Mumbai. She introduced speciality clinics in Paediatric Endocrine and Metabolic Bone disease and initiated the patient-oriented Wockhardt Diabetes Club and Juvenile Diabetes support group. She then moved to SevenHills Hospital and setup the Endocrine services there.
Dr. Juneja has a keen interest in academics and is actively involved in teaching programmes for under/postgraduate medical students, nurses, family physicians and other medical professionals. She has organised CMEs on diabetes, thyroid, osteoporosis and pituitary disorders and has been invited as a Faculty at IMA, API and RSSDI conferences. She has extensive research experience in metabolic syndrome, diabetes in young, polycystic ovary syndrome, and Cushing's disease, osteoporosis and thyroid disorders in pregnancy. Her paper on Inferior Petrosal Sinus Sampling in patients with Cushing's syndrome won her the first runner up in Dr. A.V. Gandhi National Award in Endocrinology.
